HERE ARE SOME TIPS TO GET YOU STARTED.
Make sure you’re prepared for yoga classes at Down Dog Yoga in the Washington, D.C. area!
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early so that you have ample time to register for a yoga class and ask questions.
Bring a mat, towel, and water or rent/buy one of ours.
Wear comfortable, breathable clothing you don’t mind sweating in.
Bring a change of clothes for after your yoga class.
You will sweat a lot, so drink plenty of water beforehand to hydrate.
Water fountains are available at all of the studios.
Changing rooms are available for you to use.
Cubbies are available to store any items you will not take into the yoga room
Please leave any valuables in your car. We do not currently have lockers that can be locked.
Please remove your shoes before entering the studio.
Place your mat anywhere in the room you feel comfortable and can see the teacher.
Get to know the people next to you. It is a great way to connect and feel at home.
Ask questions – we always do our best to be of service to you and help you get the most out of your yoga class!
Practice space is device free – please turn off your phone.
Please stay for the entire class – it makes a difference in how the practice works!
Most importantly: Have fun – stay lighthearted – expect a transformation!
