With a past that has included gymnastics, dance, acting, and Pilates,
Gregory found his way to yoga. Gregory describes yoga as “something
to nurture soul and body to last his lifetime”. With a yoga
background that included Vinyasa and Bikram styles, Gregory discovered
Baron Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga. The combination of the heat, the
flowing style, and the emphasis on a challenging strength-building
practice appealed to him like no other. The encouragement, nurture
and sense of community that he finds at Down Dog Yoga has lead him
call it his “yoga home”. He is a graduate of Down Dog’s
teacher training program, and level 1 and Level 2 training with Baron
Baptiste. Gregory currently holds a 200 hour Yoga Alliance approved
certification.
Gregory will tell you that his journey through life has been marked by tremendous self-growth, a path to which he remains committed and of which yoga is now an integral component. Just like in yoga, with intention you can always deepen your experience. This many splendored journey is reflected in Gregory’s work: he is a professional actor and singer. He also teaches theatre and singing, as well as Yoga and Pilates. (He is also a certified Pilates mat work instructor). He is an adjunct professor at both George Washington University, teaching yoga to undergraduates, and at Prince George’s Community College, teaching Shakespeare to senior adults. Outside of his professional life, Gregory loves activities that take him out into nature.
